This is a pretty random post I admit but when I first saw this 'truck' on the road I honestly thought it was part of a trailor that had come loose from the back of a truck! I was thrilled when we saw it the other day and I had my camera.

First car trip - heading home from hospital.
At the hospital he wore their singlets and shirts and when we dressed him for the trip home he looked so different. Here he is sporting a 'Baby Patch' outfit.
We didn't hear a peep out of him in the car so we'll take that as a good sign.

Snug as a bug in a rug. The swaddle...a very important skill. It was really cold in the hospital so he was always wrapped up. Doesn't seem to matter how he is wrapped the little front paws always seem to find their way out.

My poor computer! I have never had a virus before! We rushed to the fix it shop, expecting a geeky guy to fix it for me....I was greeted with a big unit with tattoos and mowhawk...eeek. He explained what I could do to fix the problem myself and presto...back in business!!

This is one of my favourite baby buys - a pram skin, protects the pram and makes it more snuggly and comfy for baby. I wasn't sure on this design at first but now I love it!

I was running out of time and energy to take a photo today so I headed outside to spend some time with the animals....normally any photos of them turn out pretty bad, they HATE the camera. Today they were good sports...awwwww.

The Little Miss is sad that J is away. She has become attached to him lately which is odd, she is the naughty child and is shit scared when he uses his naughty voice with her....I think she is trying to make up for the last 10 years....I call her J's girlfriend, pity her being stuck here with the pregnant wife and no J to rescue her... :)
He loves the hose, I got some really good close up photos of him but I really like these action ones....now I have to deal with the wet dog smell....dirty!!

I have really missed wearings my rings....I can get them on in the morning but by the afternoon I am all puffy and they wont come off. We had an obstetrician appointment this morning, we were out for about 1.5 hours so I thought why not, any longer though and there may have been trouble.

The last few days have been spent in a quiet house. J is in the study working and I am resting and *trying* to be quiet. Every few hours J comes out to explain heart stuff to me....

J has been busy studying so I made him some muffins...I left them in the oven a little too long though...doh! The bigger ones are spinach, corn and fetta and the smaller ones are apple and white choc chip...YUM!!

Libraries and me do not go. I wanted to get some books out for the next 2 weeks - may be my last chance to read for a while. The last time I was there I lied about returning a book just so I could get more books. I knew exactly where the book was that I said I had returned. A few weeks ago I got an email from the libraray saying that they had looked for said book but no I did not return it so I must pay. I returned it the next day.
So I go in and pick up a stash of books and head to the self check out thinking all is good in the world. ***Membership Suspended*** Go to the Counter!! Just my luck....Have I learnt my lesson? Probably not...when Bubba Marto comes along at least I will be able to get a second membership :)

This is part of our Sunday ritual...we take the dogs for a walk, grab the paper and coffees and head to the beach, then back home for pancakes...we're enjoying it while it lasts!!!

Yummie Linguine!
Petal made this for me when I was in Brisbane...I couldn't get enough of it!
Ingredients
1 Packet linguini
4 medium zucchinis - grated (I forgot this though and it was still good!)
4 large handfuls of baby spinach
zest and juice of 2 lemons
2 garlic cloves, crushed
125ml olive oil
Ground black pepper
Pitted black olives
Roasted cherry tomatoes
Method:
Cook the linguini in a large pot
Drain and return to the pot
Add the rest of the ingredients and season with salt and pepper
Toss together and serve.....

New wardrobe
After a year of only having hanging space in our wardrobe we have finally added shelves. Due to the fact that there will be another person in the bedroom next to ours we have had to reorganise and move our (Justin's) stuff out of the nursery.
Having no shelving in a wardrobe is just so stupid!!

Beached whale found at Bushland

VIDEO: A BEACHED whale, found dead this morning at Bushland Beach, is being towed out to sea by government officials.
A large group of sharks were attacking the dead mammal, which was about seven metres long.
State Government officials launched a boat to examine the humpback whale, with the Department of Environment and Resource Management towing the whale offshore so it could decay naturally this afternoon.
Word of the whale spread quickly this morning, with a crowd of onlookers flocking to the beach to catch a glimpse of the rare sight.
Among the binocular-bearing crowd were New South Wales tourists Sheffie and Maureen Mohammed.
Ms Mohammed said the couple heard about the whale on the radio and wanted to see it for themselves.
``Living in a town like Casino, we don't see things like this every day,'' she said.
The mammal was located about 1km offshore, just south of the Bushland Beach pub, and was discovered by locals at low tide.

Townsville Marathon
It was a 4am get up on a chilly morning....J ran and ran and ran....
Aka doesn't deal well when he is out with us and we seperate. He was on alert and watched every runner go past waiting for a glimpse of J. When I went to get a coffee Aka was standing on his hind legs looking over the hedge so he wouldn't miss J...too funny!
